The Middle East in 2011

Nowhere is more internationally important or unpredictable than the Middle East. In 2010, we saw the region alternately torn by violence, working toward democracy, threatening a new nuclear state, and struggling to achieve lasting peace. Join the Janus Fellows this Tuesday as we look toward the coming year and ask what the Middle East will look like in 2011.

A three-professor panel will discuss regional issues that promise to be significant. Professor David Jacobson will speak on the Israeli/Palestinian peace process, Professor Nukhet Sandal will discuss a Turkey in transition, and Professor Huss Banai will discuss the conflicts within Iran.

A Janus Forum Lecture.
