International Relations Honors Conference. Honors candidates in IR present their research findings. Students are organized into three panels, each followed by Q & A. Topics include education and terrorism production (Egypt), counternarratives in the War on Terror (Jihadi and Western media), migrant transnationalism (Vietnam and Algeria in France), determinants of "energy regimes" (Europe and Latin America), explaining and predicting statehood (associated microstates, Kosovo, Palestine), counter-hegemonic globalization and water activism (India), the persistence and decline of separtist movements (India), media framing and political decision-making (US media, Israeli-Palestinian conflict), and cooperation in EU security missions and operations.
