"Presidents Vs. The Press: How Messages are Managed Inside the White House and State Department," with PJ Crowley and Ted Widmer
PJ Crowley is the 2011-2012 Omar Bradley Chair at Dickinson College, Penn State University law school and the Army War College. Formerly, PJ was assistant secretary for public affairs and a spokesman for the US state department, resigning his post on 12 March 2011. Prior to that, he served 26 years in the US Air Force, retiring in 1999 at the rank of colonel
Ted Widmer is a historian, writer, and librarian, who served as a speechwriter in the later days of the Clinton White House. He was Director of the John Carter Brown Library, and has recently accepted a position as an assistant to President Christina Paxson for special projects. He is also a senior adviser to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
