Middle East Studies invites the Brown community to Dissonance & Harmony, an evening of discourse and social interaction with Daniel Barenboim's West-Eastern Divan Orchestra on January 25, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. in the Granoff Center for the Performing Arts.
The event includes a panel discussion by Brown faculty and students and members of the orchestra, followed by food and live entertainment. To register, visit the MES website. Registration is free and open to Brown community, and is on a first come, first served basis.
Maestro Barenboim and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra comes to Providence by invitation of the Cogut Center for the Humanities and its director, Michael Steinberg. The visit, co-sponsored by Brown University, includes performances on January 26 and 28 at the VMA, as well as several other Brown events.
