Professor Dryzek is Centenary Professor in the Centre for Deliberative Democracy and Global Governance at the ANZSOG Institute for Governance at the University of Canberra. Working in both political theory and empirical social science, he is best known for his contributions in the areas of democratic theory and environmental politics. His current research emphasizes global justice and governance in a new era of instability in the Earth system. He is the author of (inter alia) The Politics of the Earth (Oxford 2013), Climate-Challenged Society (Oxford 2013), Foundations and Frontiers of Deliberative Governance (Oxford 2012), Deliberative Democracy and Beyond (Oxford 2002), and Discursive Democracy: Politics, Policy, and Political Science (Cambridge 1994).
