Four prominent scholars who study race, inequality and social justice issues will debate the long-term significance of the events that have unfolded in reaction to the killing of an unarmed black teenager by a white police officer in that Missouri city last August, including the decision of a grand jury there not to indict the police officer for any criminal offense. The discussion will take as point of departure the Boston Review Forum, published in the January/February issue, on this same topic.
