Join the Brown Campaign for Burma for a lecture and discussion on the results of the second open elections in Myanmar, held this month. What does the future hold for the recently-opened Myanmar? How will the results of this election effect the democratization and development of the country? The event will consist of a brief introduction to the political history of the country, followed by a video conference with Dr. Matthew Walton, the Aung San Suu Kyi Senior Research Fellow in Modern Burmese Studies at St. Antony's College, University of Oxford. There will be time for a short Q&A at the end.
Snacks and reception to follow with South/Southeast Asian food.
