Joukowsky Forum
Ten Brown students spent spring break in Nicaragua learning how to be foreign correspondents. This trip was the culmination of a course called “International Journalism: Foreign Reporting in Practice” taught by former New York Times correspondent Stephen Kinzer. Each student wrote about a different aspect in Nicaraguan life, ranging from street food to teen pregnancy to the hip-hop scene. They will present their stories and report on their trip at noon on April 8 at the Joukowsky Forum in the Watson Institute, where this course has been based.
