Krishnaswami will discuss the use of information visualization and design in the presentation of public policy research. Beginning with an overview of concepts and key examples, she will share how graphics can strengthen narratives and arguments in policy environments. She will also focus on choosing the right style for a variety of data sets.
L. Arthi Krishnaswami, an information and visualization design expert, is the founder and CEO of RyeCatcher Education PBC. She works with public and private sector institutions to enable educated decision-making through the application of user-centered research, strategic information design, and visualization. She collaborated with Professor Ross Cheit to design the information visualization for his book, The Witch-Hunt Narrative. Krishnaswami received her AB in public policy Brown University, and her MDes in information design and communication planning from Carnegie Mellon University.
