Choreographed by Francesca Gallo, The Denizens is a site-specific dance piece that takes place throughout the Watson building. Dancers and audience members will discover new ways of experiencing, inhabiting, and defining the intricate architectural spaces of the building through improvised movement.
The performance will begin at 11AM on the ground floor of the Watson Institute and gradually progress up to the third floor. An informal talk-back with pastries and bagels by Rebelle Artisan Bagels will follow.
"Scores are *symbolizations of processes* which extend over time...I saw scores also as a way of communicating these processes over time and space to other people in other places at other moments and as a vehicle to allow many people to enter into the act of creation together, *allowing* for participation, feedback, and communications." – Lawrence Halprin, "The RSVP Cycles"
