Strait Talk Brown, an annual week-long symposium bringing together students, early-career professionals and veteran international relations practitioners from China, Taiwan and the US, is proud to present two panels of interest to students of East Asian Studies, US-China relations and the Taiwan Strait conflict. 

Beyond the Symposium: Talking Strait in the Real World, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Strait Talk alumni speak about how their experiences with conflict resolution have shaped their career trajectories and enabled them to be better practitioners 

Exchange Across the Taiwan Strait: Economic and Historical Perspectives, 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Ambassador Richard Boucher (Brown, US Career Ambassador) and Professors Shelley Rigger (Davidson College, political scientist of Taiwanese politics and author of Why Taiwan Matters) and Rebecca Nedostup (Brown, historian of modern China and Taiwan and author of Superstitious Regimes) will present and/or comment on economic and historical exchanges across the Taiwan Strait
