12 p.m. – 1 p.m.

Register here to join the webinar.

The zoom link will be sent out on 11/1/21.

This event is for students only.

Dr. Ntaiya founded Kakenya’s Dream, an international nonprofit organization, to educate children in rural communities, end harmful traditional practices including child marriage, and transform her community. In 2009, the Kakenya Center for Excellence boarding school opened its doors, serving 30 vulnerable Maasai girls. Today, Kakenya’s Dream reaches thousands of young girls, boys, and community members across rural Kenya each year through three holistic programs. The goal of her organization is to invest in rural communities through educational, health, and leadership initiatives to create agents of change and help raise valued and respected leaders. With U.S. and Kenya-based teams, Kakenya serves as the founder and president of her nonprofit organization.

This event welcomes students interested in meeting an activist, philanthropist, businesswoman and non-profit founder who continues to educate marginalized and underserved communities in an effort to help others escape the cultural fate of poverty and harmful traditions.

Watson Career Series

The Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs strives to create a forum in which current students can engage and connect with prominent professionals. Through a Virtual Career Chat series, we aim to present students with an interactive and close-knit conversation in which they can build professional relationships and gain valuable career insight and information. Students are encouraged to ask questions regarding current jobs, professional guidance, and career trajectories and best practices.
