Come hear Guido Imbens ’91 Ph.D., 2021 Nobel Laureate in Economics, discuss the “data revolution” in economics and public policy with John N. Friedman, PDBF Distinguished Professor of Economics and chair of the Economics Department at Brown. They will explore how the ever-increasing abundance of data, along with new tools to interpret these data (for which Imbens won the Nobel Prize), have changed public policy in domains such as the minimum wage, healthcare and social mobility.
