Kathleen Powers — The Content of National Mythology: How Past Victory and Defeat Shape Contemporary Attitudes

Kathleen Powers, Assistant Professor, Department of Government, Dartmouth College, will discuss her paper, “The Content of National Mythology: How Past Victory and Defeat Shape Contemporary Attitudes.” The paper is coauthored by Joslyn Barnhart and Jiyoung Ko.

Security Studies Seminar

The format of the seminar is a brief (5-minute) introduction by the author, some initial comments by a lead discussant (5-10 minutes), and then open comments from attendees (remainder of time).
