I am a 2nd-year Ph.D. student in economics. My research interests are in the broad fields of growth and development economics, with a focus on inequality, political economy of non-democratic regimes, cultural impediments to development and historical origins of contemporary performance. I am working at the intersection of economics, history, sociology, and biology, trying to advance the understanding of the development process by combining insights from different disciplines.
Before starting my Ph.D. at Brown, I was at the HSE, Moscow, working as a junior research fellow at the Laboratory for Applied Analysis of Institutions and Social Capital (2016-2017) and teaching at the Department of Theoretical Economics (2013-2017).
I hold the BA and MA in economics in 2015 from HSE, Moscow.
