Cecilia Perla works as a Copper Mines Analyst with Wood Mackenzie in London, UK. She finished her PhD in Political Science in 2012. Previously, she earned an MA in Economics of Development at the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, and a BA in Economics at Universidad Católica del Perú. Her PhD dissertation explored the interactions between multinational mining companies and populations living in the vicinity of the mines, and the politics behind companies’ social responsibility programs. With the support of the InterAmerican Foundation, she spent twelve months in Peru, living in four different mining towns.
