Colin is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Idaho State University. His research is at the intersection of international migration and development, incorporating human security, political demography, and ethnic conflict. Though he is interested in the aforementioned issues in hybrid regimes worldwide, his geographic specialization is post-communist Eurasia, including field experience in the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, and Estonia. He received his PhD from Brown University, followed by a position as a UCIS Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.
