Dai is a PhD student of Economics at CASS (Chinese Academy of Social Sciences). Her research interest is economic growth and social inequality in contemporary China. She has participated in several programs at CASS, which mainly investigated domestic migrants in China. These programs covered problems of housing, job-seeking, unemployment, and social security. Dai is in the beginning of her dissertation writing, and is working to illustrate income inequality in China, locate it on the track of development, and further provide appropriate suggestions to reduce the gap and foster fairness.
