Fred Shaia

I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Political Science Department, specializing in International Relations. My research interests broadly include the international politics of climate change, the geopolitics of energy, and global environmental norms. I am presently focused on the intersection of the global environmental movement and the now-hegemonic neoliberal economic order, particularly the relationship between inequality and state behavior in climate-change politics. Before Brown, I earned a Master in Public Policy from Harvard and spent several years working for the World Bank Group.
