Rebon

Julian Rebon is professor of Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires and researcher at CONICET (the Argentine state research institution). He was the director of the Gino Germani Institute (the social sciences research institute of the University of Buenos Aires). His research focuses broadly on the dynamics of social conflict and social change. Specifically, he has conducted research on recuperated enterprises in Argentina and he is the author of two groundbreaking books on this topic (Desobedeciendo al Desempleo 2004 and La Empresa de la Autonomia 2007). At the Gino Germani Institute he created a working group for the study of workers’ self-management. He has also conducted research and published on the forms of collective action of social movements in Argentina.
