Kalpana Dixit is pursuing her doctoral research in the Department of Political Science, Pune University, India on the topic “Changing Paradigm of Democratic Governance: A Case Study of Electricity Sector Reforms in Maharashtra.” Her research interests include political economy of development, political process in India, politics of restructuring, and public policy. She has worked with a non-profit organization, Prayas, on the analysis of alternative development discourse. She was also involved in policy analysis and advocacy on the issues of water sector reforms and urban sector reforms in India.
