Ruchi Mahadeshwar

Ruchi is a PhD student in economics whose research interests lie in applied microeconomics questions, particularly in developing countries. Her current projects include assessing the impacts of public housing in India, workplace competition in Cambodian textile factories, and an HIV self-testing intervention amongst sex workers in Kenya. She is also exploring how anticipatory beliefs can shape voting and vaccination decisions in the US. She is a recipient of the NIH’s 2020 T32 Fellowship and the NSF’s 2021 Graduate Research Fellowship (GRFP).
