A Fulbright Scholar, an Eisenhower Global Fellow and an Asia 21 Fellow Chevaan is a globally recognised humanitarian leader and orator, regularly addressing local and international forums on a wide range of topics. Widely feted for his achievements in Sri Lanka’s corporate world, he was awarded The Most Outstanding Young Person of the Year Award, by Junior Chamber International and also named twice into the 40-under- 40 list of best performing Sri Lankan Corporate Leaders.

Chevaan was the UN-OCHA Maître de Cérémonie for the World Humanitarian Summit- Global Consultation in Geneva. He spearheads Sri Lanka’s fight against Modern Day Slavery by way of his role in the Bali Process.

He leads ‘Gammadda’, a community-driven rural development initiative in Sri Lanka considered to be the nation’s most powerful grassroots movement. Chevaan is an avid musician and historian specialising in ancient Sri Lanka. He is an internationally certified Swift Water Rescuer, deployed in regional flood disasters.
