Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine

Dr. Kate Moretti is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at Brown University. Her current research focuses on both the health implications of climate change as well as the contributions of healthcare to the climate crisis. She founded, and currently co-chairs, the Rhode Island Medical Society Climate Change and Health Committee.  She received her Medical Doctorate from the Albany Medical College in Albany, New York and attended residency in emergency medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During medical school and residency, Dr. Moretti focused on the integration of refugees into the US medical system. She completed a fellowship in global emergency medicine and obtained her Masters in Clinical and Translational Research through Brown University where she focused on access to emergency care in post-conflict Colombia.
