UC Press celebrated 2018 International Open Access Week (October 22-28) by highlighting several open access publishing programs and initiatives at UC Press, including Forging the Ideal Educated Girl: The Production of Desirable Subjects in Muslim South Asia by Shenila Khoja-Moolji (’05 A.B.), assistant professor of gender, sexuality, and women’s studies at Bowdoin College. Published in July, her work examines the interplay of gender, race, religion, and power in transnational contexts, particularly in relation to Muslim populations.
