Alexander Abuaita '18 is a double concentrator in Middle East Studies and Computer Science. His thesis is an interdisciplinary approach examining the de-facto privatization of public education in Egypt and, within this survey, investigating what the larger political, social, and economic implications of this privatization are. As an MES undergraduate fellow in 2017-18, Alex will contribute to the publication of the MES annual report.
