Amy Katzen is currently a senior policy analyst at the Rhode Island Executive Office of Health and Human Services, where she supports the Medicaid Health System Transformation Program and other initiatives. Previously, Katzen worked at the Massachusetts Heath Policy Commission, focusing on analysis of health care provider mergers and other affiliations. In that role, she contributed to several cost and market impact reviews, including the review of the Beth Israel-Lahey merger. She also has experience as an advocate for health care consumers, including for the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation at Harvard Law School during initial implementation of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and for Health Care For All of Massachusetts during initial implementation of Massachusetts’s 2006 health care expansion law. Katzen received her Juris Doctor and Master of Public Policy degrees from the University of California Berkeley in 2012, and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
