David Song most recently worked for CitySprouts, a Cambridge-based nonprofit that introduces school gardens as a core element of children’s public education by partnering with Cambridge and Boston public schools. He also served as an AmeriCorps member in Boston’s English High School, America’s oldest public school, where he was a science tutor. These experiences sparked his interest in education policy, especially as it relates to English language learners and charter schools. David received a bachelor's degree in biology from Wake Forest University. He is originally from the Baltimore area. David is proficient in Korean and conversational in Japanese.
