Edyth Dwyer is a second year MPA, MPH student, concentrating in Global Health. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology, graduating summa cum laude from Framingham State University in 2020. Previous projects have included a legislative internship with a MA State Representative, a project researching human slavery at a London NGO, and a policy research internship in Washington DC at the National Center for Health Research. She is a student member of the Brown School of Public Health Community Engagement Committee.

Her research focus at Brown has been on disparities in health outcomes, with a year-long research assistantship at RICAP investigating patient perspectives on integrated behavioral healthcare and substance use disorder care. Edyth’s thesis project is a policy evaluation of a clean air act in the Southwest US, identifying impacts on smoking behavior in different ethnic and cultural groups. Upon graduating, Edyth’s goal is to work in government or non-profit roles addressing health inequities and structural barriers to healthcare.
