Elizabeth Hecht spent the past six years working in education philanthropy at Brown University, UC Berkeley, and Facing History and Ourselves. She has also served as a volunteer and adviser for several education and advocacy nonprofits in the San Francisco Bay area, including Root and Rebound, Global Lives Project, and The Arc. She is interested in the policy frameworks underlying philanthropy and other vehicles for funding social change. Elizabeth earned her bachelor's degree in history and literary studies from Williams College. She is from Berkeley, California.
