Monami Anika Fariha most recently worked at Plan International on projects focused on increasing agency, financial inclusion and social protection measures for marginalized and vulnerable communities in disaster-prone regions of Bangladesh. Prior to that she worked on the Rohingya refugee crisis in Cox's Bazar during her stint at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Monami has also worked on researching sustainable agriculture, food security, and linkages as an intern at Solidaridad Network Asia. She aspires to pursue a career in international development, international relations, and labor policy, and contribute to overall development and humanitarian efforts. Monami is originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh. She received her bachelor's degree in business administration from the Institute of Business Administration, University of Dhaka.
