Sefat earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing and her master’s degree in finance from North South University of Bangladesh. She has been serving in the Bangladesh Customs for the last ten years and is currently a joint commissioner of customs. Her policy interests include cross border trade, drug trafficking, money laundering, and business process simplification. Upon graduation, she hopes to work with Bangladeshi trade policy in achieving sustainable development goals. Her native language is Bengali and she is from Bangladesh.
