Shankar Prasad serves as Interim Director and Director of Graduate Studies for the Master of Public Affairs program. In his role as Deputy Provost for Strategic Initiatives, he is responsible for a broad portfolio in support of the priorities of the Office of the Provost, including advancing academic excellence, building community, and ensuring fiscal sustainability and operational excellence. Prasad's teaching and research areas of focus include technology driven policy innovation and American politics. He joined Brown in 2014 as the associate director of the Watson Institute, and was a principal architect in developing Brown's one-year MPA program.
