Turkey and the neo-Ottoman approach to human rights

In an Open Democracy op-ed, Post-Doctoral Fellow Nukhet Sandal explores how Turkey can be held up as a model for human rights while it violates those of its own citizens. In the coming academic year, Sandal will begin as assistant professor of political science at Ohio University.
