Stephen Kinzer, senior fellow at the Watson Institute, wrote an op-ed about the call to increase bombing efforts in Syria, citing failed efforts to reform Iraq and Afghanistan with the same strategy. "It's mind-boggling that despite the stark lessons of the last decade, prominent Americans want to plunge into another war," Kinzer wrote.
