Three Watson Institute scholars, Narges Bajoghli, Chas Freeman, and Stephen Kinzer, are signatories to a new report that was recently published on the Iran policy recommendations for the new U.S. administration.
"My decision to be a signatory of this report is due to the fact that I strongly believe that adherence to the Iran Deal on behalf of the United States government is not only crucial for the national security of our country, but also to the regional stability in the Middle East. Iran is a regional power in the Middle East, and our strained relationship with it for the past nearly four decades has been a failure and has led to more instability in the region. This international accord based on diplomacy deserves to be continued by our government, as the policy of isolation has certainly not led anywhere productive." – Narges Bajoghli on her decision to sign
