Former Prime Minister of Australia Julia Gillard (2010-2013) joined Watson Institute faculty and students for a conversation over lunch prior to delivering the campus-wide 90th Stephen A. Ogden Jr. ’60 Memorial Lecture on International Affairs. Watson Director Richard M. Locke welcomed and introduced PM Gillard, and China Initiative Director Professor Edward Steinfeld led a discussion focusing on the topic of her speech, "Engagement in the Asian Century: The Opportunity of Our Lifetime."
