Biography

I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan in August 2022. After my postdoctoral fellowship at the Watson Institute of International and Public Affairs, I will join the Department of Health Policy and Management at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University as an assistant professor. My research lies at the intersection of public health, the welfare state, and state building. In general, I study how modern controlled diseases and improved population health and how the public health interventions, in turn, reshaped social welfare and state power.
