A Message from Director, Anthony Levitas:

Dear PLCY Concentrators,
As you've likely seen, the University announced a transition to remote learning effective March 30.
Please know that Melissa, myself and the rest of the faculty have been and will continue to prepare for this move, and you will be hearing from us and your other professors with instructions in the coming days.
In addition to online courses, we will also be working to ensure consistent online office hours are offered, and we will stay in touch with regular email updates.
For next week, I have added additional office hours all Monday afternoon. For the rest of the semester, I will also have office hours on Tuesday and now on Thursdays afternoons as well. As before, you can use the link below to sign up for slots.
Next week, I will continue to hold office hours in my office. But after that, we will do office hours through Zoom, and I will add a Zoom Room or location to my calendar. In the interim, any remote meetings we might need will be conducted through Skype.
Watson will also be working to provide some targeted online opportunities for all of us to stay better stay connected.
Please reach out to me or Melissa, with any questions in the coming days..
More generally, I think the main challenge of the next few months will be how to make constructive use of the politically mandated social distancing (read: boredom and loneliness) that we are all now likely to find ourselves in --and for good reason.
So after the initial disruption of pulling up stakes and getting out of Dodge, my best suggestion is to take a deep breath, catch up on the work that we are all behind on, and then to use the downtime to read, write, and reflect upon our altogether too interesting times.
Stay well. Be prudent for yourselves and others. And let us know if you need anything.
