Aidan Milliff — Understanding Majoritarian Violence: Evidence from Hate Crimes and Crowd Violence in India.

Aidan Milliff is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Florida State University. He studies the cognitive, social, and political tools that people use to form judgments and make decisions in complex, violent, or traumatic environments. His work combines computational social science tools and machine learning with traditional qualitative methods to answer questions about political violence, trauma, migration, and the politics of South Asia. Dr. Milliff’s published work appears in the American Political Science ReviewJournal of Peace Research, Political Behavior, and other outlets. He received his Ph.D. in political science from MIT.
