Project Title: Shifting Sands: Migrants and Mobilities in the Brahmaputra Valley
Radhika Moral's research is based in Assam, in Northeast India. The research focuses on lives of a migrant community and how it interfaces with the social and cultural dynamics of water in the Brahmaputra valley. Central to this, are issues of representation and claims to indigeneity in regional formations tied to more contemporary debates on citizenship against the backdrop of migration and mobilities along the Assam-Bangladesh border. Radhika obtained her MA in Cultural Studies from Dartmouth College and BA in Literature from Lady Shri Ram College at the University of Delhi.
