Anila Daulatzai

Visiting Assistant Professor of Women's Studies and Islamic Studies, Harvard Divinity School, Harvard University

Anila Daulatzai has a PhD in Anthropology from the Johns Hopkins University, and is currently a Visiting Assistant Professor at Harvard Divinity School. Her research focuses on heroin users in Pakistan and Afghanistan, and on the return of polio to Pakistan. Daulatzai is working on a book manuscript, War and What Remains: Everyday Life in Contemporary Kabul, Afghanistan, based on four years of ethnographic research on widowhood and everyday life amidst serial wars.
