Alexander Gard-Murray

Biography

Alexander Gard-Murray is a political economist whose research focuses on climate change, distributional politics, and policy options for accelerating decarbonization. He completed his D.Phil. in Politics at Nuffield College, Oxford, his M.Sc. in Politics Research at St. Hilda's College, Oxford, and his B.A. in Political Science at Brown. He was formerly a Lecturer and College Fellow in Government at Harvard. He is currently writing a book—Who Will Pay to Save the Planet?—on the hidden battles fought by different sectors of the economy over climate policy strength. He is also affiliated with the Rhodes Center for International Economics and Finance.
