Kamaile Patton recently earned her bachelor’s degree in peace studies from Chapman University. During her internship with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies, she conducted research and assisted with projects for the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) initiative, helping to create content for education on the WPS agenda in the Indo-Pacific region. She hopes to work on critical issues around domestic and international gender-inclusive policy creation, global conflict prevention and resolution, peacebuilding, and human rights. Kamaile is from Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi.
