Project History
The project began in 2000, as a collaboration between Ana Devic, Keith Brown and Dominique Arel within the Politics, Culture and Identity Program at the Watson Institute. The Institute hosted a number of conferences and events dealing with different aspects of the Yugoslav conflict, which helped shape the project’s focus on the region’s political transition, and the roles of different actors and networks in that transition. Throughout, the project has tried to foster broad cooperation and dialogue across national and professional borders.
