CLACS welcomes Events & Communications Coordinator Alizah Holstein

Alizah Holstein is a writer, editor, and translator. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing & Literary Translation from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a Ph.D. in History from Cornell University. A professional communicator and educator, Alizah will be balancing her day-job duties at CLACS with a parallel career as a writer, and we eagerly await the publication of her first book, My Roman History (Viking Press, 2024) in early summer. Alizah served CLACS in a temporary role in September and October and was instrumental in welcoming our new scholars and maintaining forward momentum as we planned events and activities for the fall semester. She will be dividing her time between CLACS and the Center for Middle East Studies (CMES).
