The Brazil Initiative's Spring Film Series presents a selection of classic and contemporary films straight out of "another Brazil": the vast and rich world of the country's backlands.
This "magical and moving" first feature, somewhere between ethnography and reverie, tells the story of BastĂș, an old woman in the arid north of Minas Gerais set adrift after the death of her husband.
