The Brazil Initiative's Spring Film Series presents a selection of classic and contemporary films straight out of "another Brazil": the vast and rich world of the country's backlands.
A forlorn geologist is sent on a month-long mission into the hinterland of Brazil's Northeast. This remarkable road movie, in which the protagonist never appears onscreen, has both documentary and fiction in its DNA and takes viewers on a journey that is as emotional as it is physical.
