Lula da Silva Appointed Chief of Staff
March 16, 2016 - Brazil President Dilma Rousseff appointed her predecessor Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as her Chief of Staff. According to Rousseff, this is a move to "strengthen [her] government." However, the appointment comes at a time of turmmoil, and offers to protect Lula da Silva from ongoing investigations against him.
