The Panama Papers: Implications for Brazil Corruption Scandal
On Sunday, April 3 2015, a massive leak of files from Panaminian law firm Mossack Fonesca, known as the Panama Papers, linked world leaders to bribery and off-shore money laundering. Politicians from Brazilian Democratic Movement Party (PMDB), who last week announced they were leaving the Rousseff coalition, have been implicated in the scandal. No one from Rousseff's Workers Party (PT) has so far been named as clients of Mossack Fonesca.
